We believe in rewarding
Health and Safety.

Imagine a product
that pays you for using it well.

We use innovation to change the way the world engages in Occupational Health and Safety. Simply put, we gamify OHS.

If your OHS does not worry you, then try beating us at a simple game. We wager that you won't. And also that your OHS is in need of innovation.

We don’t believe in the traditional compliance and one-size-fits-all approach to Occupational Health and Safety:

It seldom works and is too costly.

We believe in OHS done well:

Zero risk of serious harm AND zero waste of time and money.

Can you say that you are doing OHS well?

Let us put you to the test…

Does your landlord do as much OHS as you might think? Can you see that there is a person tasked to fulfil every OHS activity that affects your people?

Are your people actively engaged in meaningful OHS rather than ticking a box?

Are you cutting the time wasted on scheduling, reminding and following up?

Do you correct everything forgotten or neglected?

Are your people safe? Do they know exactly what to do in an emergency?

Do you know what your evacuations cost? Are you managing the escape and workstation-return times?

Is there a single source that shows you are doing all the right things and doing all things right? Are you as free from being liable as your people are from danger?

If you cannot satisfy these questions, we would like to help you.

Our research shows that OHS can be optimised.

But only if it is humanised, digitised and economised.

It also shows that none of these three is effective in isolation.

Our mission is to achieve OHS done well by inspiring humans to

engage with the best tools possible in ways that maximise safety

and remove all waste of time and money.

Inspiring humans: Us paying you is not crazy – science says it’s needed.

Our research shows that organisations will seldom be actively engaged with health and safety. Yet they need to be.

That led us to psychoanalytic theory, which explains that humans will avoid effort unless they can see a likely reward for their effort. The theory defines such a reward as being pleasure or the avoidance of pain, but says that humans will not act if they see their effort as outweighing the reward. This reveals an inherent flaw in conventional OHS: humans often see OHS efforts as outweighing the rewards, because they see no pleasure and they seldom see any pain worth avoiding – they would sooner avoid the “pain” of doing OHS. As such, science calls for a change for better OHS.

We combine computer science and human science – we believe in tools that take the pain out of OHS and also reward you for doing OHS well.

The best tools possible: the pain that can be removed by digitising OHS.

OHS laws are too voluminous for humans. Tools can remove the pain of regularly identifying all activities applicable to organisations.

Tools can also remove the pain associated with the scheduling, tracking and proper completion of all identified OHS activities.

Tools can also set goals and rewards to inspire humans to want to perform their tasks (as opposed to feeling a need). And to record their OHS activities.

Everything OHS-related is stored in a single source, along with each of their outcomes. This enables any reporting imaginable, from dashboards to exception reports to audit trails and even detailed filings to the authorities.

The best tools possible: what else can be improved by digitising OHS.

Tools can reduce evacuation costs: evacuations are too slow, too manual and too unreliable – there is a need for improved speed and communication. Tools can guide and track evacuees to a place of safety and rapidly identify those in need of help but also, in the case of a drill, reduce the workstation-return time.

Tools can also assist organisations in managing the attendance of their superheroes*. With work-from-home, organisations often do not have the required number of safety personnel in attendance to adequately assist in the case of an emergency. Tools can prevent and detect this and ensure that organisations are suitably prepared for an emergency.

* trained fire marshals, evacuation marshals and first aiders.

Remove all waste of time and money: OHS must be economised.

In the case of our key development partner we see savings of more than 2,000 hours p.a. which equates to an entire working year of savings. This comes from:

Having a single source for everything-OHS that can cumulatively save time spent on assimilating, filing and reporting, and cut wait-to-know time to zero.

Automating basic OHS processes that can further save time that would otherwise be wasted on scheduling, reminding and follow ups.

Using workflows with clearly defined user inputs that can remove the value-less time and effort spent on open-ended tasks.

Applying mobile technology to evacuation drills: we can make people safe in an emergency and cut out wastage* by speeding up employee workstation-return time.

* Hundreds of hours of aggregate savings are available to medium to large size organisations based on a 45 minute saving on each of the two mandatory evacuation drills required every year.
